How to get it
- 1Buy the Climate Card (₩3,000)
At a Seoul subway station service desk or a convenience store near a station (Seoul Metropolitan Government).
- 2Charge it at a station machine
Choose 1, 2, 3, 5 or 7 days and pay. Day passes don't need card registration.
- 3Tap in and ride
The pass starts the moment you charge it, so charge on the morning you start riding.
Where it works
- YESSubway inside Seoul
Seoul subway lines, plus the Gimpo Goldline, within Seoul.
- YESSeoul city buses
Seoul-licensed city, village (maeul) and night buses.
- NOAirport buses, AREX from Incheon Airport
You can't board at Incheon Airport with it, so pay normally for the trip into the city.
- NOShinbundang Line, Gyeonggi and express buses
Buses licensed outside Seoul (like the red express buses) aren't covered.
Is it worth it?
- YESBusy sightseeing days
Our tip: if you'll ride several times a day, the pass usually beats paying per ride.
- NOLight days or late starts
A 1-day pass ends with that day's last train, so charging in the evening wastes it (Seoul Metropolitan Government).
